HEAD COACHES

ERIC HANSEN
Lake Country Lutheran, Oconomowoc & LCC Level 3 Head Coach
COACHING SINCE 2019
I became a coach for LCC starting in 2019 (Head Coach since 2020) in order to share the passion of mountain biking with my oldest son. After only a few practices in the first season, it quickly became apparent how special this composite team was. Although LCC consists of student athletes from Arrowhead, Kettle Moraine, Oconomowoc, Lake Country Lutheran; as well as other private schools, the bond they share is amazing.
We strive to have fun, while making sure the sport is inclusive to all. Empowering our athletes to get out of their comfort zone and try something new, is one greatest rewards as a coach.

Favorite Treat: Energy Rings (Donuts)

Allison Ebert
Kettle Moraine Level 3 Head Coach
COACHING SINCE 2021
I started coaching in 2021 because my oldest son Drew started riding on the team as a 6th grader.
Fun Fact: Had dinner and drinks with a Nobel prize winner.

Greg Ohme
Hartland Arrowhead Level 3 Head Coach
COACHING SINCE 2021
I’ve been coaching since 2021, driven by a passion for helping riders develop their skills, confidence, and love for the sport. I became a coach to grow the mountain biking community and support riders in reaching their goals—whether it’s their first ride or their hundredth ride.
When I’m not on the trails, you’ll likely find me working on bikes, exploring technical rock climbs or making loud noise with a guitar.
Looking forward to another great season of riding, learning, and having fun on the trails!

Lisa Bull
Level 3 Coach
COACHING SINCE 2019
Started riding MTB at age 50 once my sons (now college and high school graduates) got involved in LCC and NICA as another way to connect and spend time with my boys, especially as teenagers when being around mom isn’t a top priority. I’ve continued to coach since my boys aged out of LCC because I am so completely stoked and honored to work with kids, meeting them “where they’re at”” (NICA motto – challenge by choice), and watching their faces just BEAM when they accomplish something (“clean” a section of trail they previously struggled with, perform a new skill, or just get out of their comfort zone and live to tell the tale 😊). And, I get to ride bikes in the woods with our community of super cool, caring, funny coaches!
Fun Fact: In spite of a traumatic brain injury from a freak MTB crash in 2021, riding in the woods/nature is my happy, Zen place!

Tom Graham
Level 3 Coach / Coach Trainer
COACHING SINCE 2019
Meet Tom Graham, a LCC mountain bike coach with a deep passion for the sport and a true love for adventure. Tom is not only dedicated to helping riders of all levels improve their biking skills, but he also believes in the transformative power of biking — the sense of freedom, the inner peace when outdoors, and the joy that comes from challenging oneself on the trails. Tom serves as Co-VP on LCC Biking non-profit, time trial coordinator and jack of all trades on the team.

Eric Howden
Level 3 Coach / Raffle Coordinator
COACHING SINCE 2021
In addition to coaching NCIA, I am on the WI Mountain Bike patrol and in winter on ski patrol for Alpine Valley. I’m currently raffle coordinator training a new raffle coordinator for 2026.

Dana Johnson
Level 3 Coach & Coach Supporter / Trainer for WI League
COACHING SINCE 2015
I became a coach when my son was on the team, and some other riders’ sisters wanted to join. A few moms approached me, saying I was the only female MTB rider they knew and asked if I would coach so their daughters would feel more comfortable. I’ve been hooked ever since. There’s nothing more rewarding than watching a middle school girl gain self-confidence on a bike, which then spills over into all areas of her life—grades, social norms, and mindset. While boys experience this too, as a female rider, I’m especially proud to see this confidence in my female riders.
Fun Fact: My nickname is Dropmaster D even though I’m no pro at drops–but I might be considered a pro rapper.

Steve Lirette
Level 3 Coach
COACHING SINCE 2015
I started when my son joined the group ten years ago. I have been a head coach since before we had head coaches. I am retiring before the start of the season and looking forward to many more days on the trails my Trek Top Fuel!

Derek Mantz
Level 2 Coach
COACHING SINCE 2021
I became a coach when my son joined the team in 2021 and was I instantly hooked. I now have two kiddos on the team as my daughter also joined when she was old enough. Riding together with them and my wife is one of my favorite activities – especially when we are camping in one of Wisconsin’s beautiful state parks and can explore new trail systems nearby. Coaching with the team fills me up and I am proud to give back to the youth of our community in such a rewarding way. Seeing the transformative process from when a novice student athlete first joins the team to how far they grow season after season is truly remarkable.
Fun Fact: I ride a fat tire bike year round and love riding in winter race events. Fat tire is life!

I got involved in the team a year after my oldest son joined. We love riding the trails in this area and the race weekends have been super fun. We build new memories every year!
Fun Fact: The longest bikepacking tour I have been on was 21 days and it ended in Vienna.

Kelly Ohme
Level 2 Coach & Assistant Team Director
COACHING SINCE 2022
I’ve been coaching for 3 years, initially to ride with the family, but have grown to enjoy supporting new riders develop confidence on the bike. I enjoy riding on the trail and the road, and you may even find me at a bike park.
I enjoy traveling and camping. One of the nice perks riding with the team is having opportunity to travel and camp to new trails through out the state. When I’m not on the trails, you’ll likely find me gardening or relaxing with a good book.
I’m excited for the season ahead, seeing old riders return and meeting newcomers alike!

Jen Frank
Team Treasurer
TREASURER SINCE 2024
Based on my profile picture you can see why I am the team’s Treasurer. I am better with two feet on the ground at all times.
Fun Fact: I ran cross country and track at Marquette University and still enjoy running.
